I’m Samantha DeRosa, and my journey to clean, nourishing cooking didn’t start in a fancy kitchen — it started in a hospital room.
Years ago, I was working 60-hour weeks in marketing, grabbing fast food between meetings, running on coffee and adrenaline. I thought I was “too busy” to cook. Then one morning, I collapsed at work. My body had been whispering warnings for months, but that day, it screamed.
The diagnosis? Severe burnout. Nutritional deficiencies. Hormonal imbalances. I was only 29, but my body felt 60.
Lying in that hospital bed, I made a quiet promise to myself:
“If I make it out of this, I’ll never treat food as an afterthought again.”
That promise led me to the kitchen. At first, I had no clue what I was doing — I burnt more pans than I can count. But slowly, meal by meal, I rebuilt not just my health, but my confidence. Cooking became therapy. Food became fuel. And over time, my meals stopped being about calories and started being about care.

Now, I develop clean, protein-packed recipes that help women just like me — busy, ambitious, powerful — reclaim their energy and fall in love with what’s on their plate.
My mission isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress.
It’s about creating dishes that heal, empower, and bring joy — even on the most chaotic of days. Whether it’s a one-skillet dinner after a long shift or a high-protein dessert that satisfies without the crash, I want you to feel strong, nourished, and deeply cared for.
Today, through this blog, I share more than just recipes — I share stories. Stories of transformation, of resilience, of food that loves you back.
Because I believe when we eat with intention, we live with intention.
